Hiruha has teal hair and blue colored eyes. Hiruha wears a goofy grin throughout the story (the only time he doesn't smile is after betraying the group). He has a blue line that crosses over his nose. He wears a short sleeved black top that exposes his stomach. He wears clothing similar to overalls, and wears a scarf. He likes to travel on his Hayagami and is often seen floating in the air.
Hiruha is a comical character that keeps situations light-hearted. Hiruha is a mystery at times since he seems to know more than he lets on. He always mentions after revealing something important that he heard it on the wind. The others poke fun of him having a crush on Arata after he mentions how much respect he has for the teenager and is dying to travel with him. Though he appears happy, he carries a deep burden that makes him perform some unfavorable actions towards the group. He redeems himself in the end when he reveals he just wanted to save those close to him, but went about it in the wrong method.
